"By parents, do you mean like... space aliens?"
My belief, as much as I have one, is in a certain optimistic stochastics as the main force in the universe.

Lost.
I am following Miner #2 through the darkness. The only thing visible are the glint off the wet walls of the tunnel, refracted from the light of his candle. We pass through a multitude of intersections, seemingly choosing direction at random. He assures me he knows where he's going. We both know he's lying. I have no better sense of direction down here in the darkness. This must be how explorers felt, their ship adrift at night with out the stars as a guide, moving with the currents, waiting for the dawn to break.

Trapped but it's ok!
Miner #2 says at least six months food. We want to stay here for at least a little while though. Fun isn't the exact word to describe it, but I don't think we're going to immediately give our location. Something is telling us to enjoy our time "alone." There is laughter. I laugh at silence. I feel the pressure on my eardrums. The world weighing on itself, becoming denser. I know that the little distant rumbles come from hilariously far distances.
You aren't so far away, but only because you've been invited.

Maroon is my favorite colored quadrant.
Miner #2: I think it will be cool if suddenly everyone is marooned. and all the power plants stop working and we become villagers again. And everyone throws away all of their cellphones and looks up at the stars at night.
Miner #1: I would fucking love that.
Miner#2: And understands that it's a cubic year.. four rotating quadrants equals kill your word god...
you know what I mean?
Miner #1: Crystal clear buddy.
Northern (Sodium) Lights
The warm, diffuse, glow,
Filled the sky, color of salt,
Burning salt, lights n'at.
